Easy walking trails in a beautiful setting. Nice lake, and picnic facilities. Very relaxing. Lots of parking. Great no matter how much time you have to visit.

I've been looking for a place to walk with my kids and this is the perfect spot. Another bonus is that there is no admission to the park. Great for picnics, bbqs, fishing, walking, pushing a jogging stroller, or biking. There is also a volunteer at the building near the entrance by the river that showed my kids different animal... Took the dirt road down here with friends from Vail. If you get the chance, do it. The sun hits the Valley in the afternoon and you could not get a more picturesque view.

This Jefferson County Open Space Park is a great place to spend a couple of hours or a whole day, just relaxing in a beautiful outdoor setting. There are hiking trails, Pine Valley Lake, that has nice sized trout you can fish for. Or just sit back and breath the nice fresh mountain air.

Awesome place with uber cool history and architecture . Great short trails with good elevation and superb views. The lodge and the observatory are extraordinary, the river with walkable adjacent trails and equally accessible and beautiful winter or summer. Hate to review so highly as hate to see it over run but.......

Pine Valley Ranch Park is a great place for large picnics, easy bike or hike (as well as some more challenging ones), and a FABULOUS place for seniors or wheelchair bound folks....as it is accessible...even to the lake for fishing!!! Not remote or secluded, but a nice day park!

There's nothing not to like about this place: * It's close to Denver * It's free * It has a nice lake with fishing posts * It is right next to the river * It has family friendly trails * There's a nice picnic area. Some of it can be reserved (and free to use if there are no reservations)... More

Pine Valley Ranch Park is a wonderful place to visit. I should know because as the son of one of the owners, I spent most of my summers there in the 1960's. There are many things about the park that people don't know, or have forgotten. There is a cement post in the River - you can see from the... More

We went to the mountains to view the fall colors and found out about Pine Valley Ranch Park. Walked some trails, viewed the small lake, learned about the lodge and how it was built. Met two people who worked at the park. They were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to go during the week. Plenty of parking. Place to... More

It gives me great pleasure to visit Pine Vally Ranch Park. My father was one of the owners of the Ranch during the period from 1958 until it because an open space park. Much has been written about the history of how the park started. Few people know of the struggle that one of the owners had to keep the... More
