Fun river float, nice scenery!

My wife and I floated down the Boise River this past August. The scenery was amazing, the people were friendly, and it was a great time!!

My wife and I took to the waters on a hot August day. We rented an inflatable kayak and floated the river. It was an enjoyable float. If you rent a kayak, make sure you know how to maneuver the boat... there will likely be 100's of rafters on the river at the same time, and since a kayak is... More

Floating the Boise River is a great way to spend a lazy Saturday. It was $6 to park at Barber Park where you get all set up to hop in the river. They provide free access to compression pumps to inflate your rafts and/or tubes, and they have stairs down into the river so it's easy to launch. There are... More

I'm a foreign currently living in Idaho...and I have to say, I had a lot of fun floating this river! It's so nice in the summer time...relaxing and at the same time you have that "bit" of adrenaline. I highly recommend anyone to do it. With the entire family, as the river is calm and it's really safe for kids... More

I can't count how many times my family and I have done this float. It's easily two or three times a month during the summer. It's not adrenaline-filled whitewater, it's just a relaxing River float.

First time tubing down a river, and it was quite the experience. Drove up to Barber Park (have to pay $6 to park a car there or shuttle up from Ann Morrison Park for $3/person) where you can rent rafts, tubes, paddles, life vests, etc. $12 for a 1-person tube. They also have air pumps to fill your own tubes.... More

Get a tube, grab your friends, snag a ride out of town and hit the river! Locals will advise best spots to get in and out of the water. You can use one of the local rafting companies or go on your own. Free tube fill stations in the park where we went in. A lovely relaxing way to spend... More

We've visited family in Boise last 2 summers and floating the river has been one of our favorite activities. We've rented rafts and tubes from Epley's and have been very pleased with the equipment. The river itself is relatively fast with 3 minor rapids and you do have to watch out for low branches around several corners. The water is... More

My older teen daughter and I floated the Boise River from Barber Park to Ann Morrison Park. There are several sections where the water drops just a bit or moves more quickly. We got splashed once because we purposefully aimed for a rough patch. There are several places where the water is shallow. You do need to pay attention and... More
