The power and scope of this body of water has an affect on you. Good public access in many spots especially Little Girl Point just north of Ironwood Michigan. Just sit and take it in or comb the shores for a special rock.

Lake Superior is wonderful. Even on cold windy days, it was such a beautiful site. You are on the Keweenaw peninsula, so you are always close to a beach.

The road between Duluth Minnesota and the US/Canadian boarder is well paved and an enjoyable trip offering good views and vistas of Lake Superior. There are many scenic spots to pull off the road for picture taking.
