It was interesting to walk along such a massive lake on a rainy day. The people were still swimming and the shops are still open. It reminded me of the Florida beaches minus the salt water. One should visit these lakes if in the area.

We visited Lake Huron while staying in Sarnia Ontario. The lake has scenic shoreline, beaches, swimming areas and fishing. The large ships are impressive.

The end of a driving day brought us to St. Ignace, Michigan and the shores of Lake Huron. What a pleasant surprise in the morning when we looked out at the lake and saw fog. It gave us the opportunity to walk the edge, experience the quiet, and photograph the grasses at water's edge. Photographers: take note of the idyllic... More

A piece of Heaven on Earth. Clean big warm sandy beach. Very shallow water on a calm day. We went to Caseville so we don't know about the rest of the Lake but this place was fantastic. Also a fishing harbor if you like

LAKE HURON CAMPING 9/4-9/9/12 (with Jim & Pauline) We started out from home on Tuesday, 9/4 at 9:22 AM. We got diesel gas at Roanoke, arriving at 10 AM and leaving at 10:30 AM. We were invited up to a friend's family cottage on the shores of Lake Huron this past June 2009. While the weather didn't cooperate as we would have liked, we enjoyed the beautiful scenery, sounds and breezes that come from the Lake. It was a little of the beaten path from Caseville, MI which has some more interesting night life... More
