Visited for the Leelanau and Old Mission Wine Tour! This was a great experience! Wine tasting at it's best, a must do!

Overrated.. was boring. Thought I could enjoy some nature, but wasn't much to see. You're way better off going Harbor Springs. Even the people... I've met some incredibly rude people in Leelanau. I think that was what put me off the most- I can't believe how hostile some were.

Not to many things on earth are this beautiful! Except for maybe my wife. But this area of Michigan is outstanding! You'll not regret taking time out of your trip to see it! Wonderful and wooded. Clean air and friendly people. Worth the trip from anywhere on earth!!

I went to the Sands to see Don Williams as a retirement gift from my children. Sad to say he canceled due to illness. Instead of seeing him I got to spend time playing in the casino with my youngest daughter and had the best time I've had in quite awhile. We won too. My future son - in law... More

If wineries are your thing this is for you. The journey between the wineries is also a treat, especially the pretty towns of Suttons Bay and Northpoint. Leland is usually highly rated and deservedly so except it is a tourist mecca so may not be as welcoming as parking can be a nightmare. However, it does have plenty to offer... More

Having been numerous times, in all seasons, with family, friends, kids, parents, over many, many years, I simply love this area, because it contains what I enjoy most in MI. You can cover the area in a long afternoon, weekend, or a week. It offers everything you could want. Every sport, climate, restaurant, hobby, natural feature. Several small, but quaint... More

Many visitors to Leelanau County enjoy the drive up M22 along the west arm of Grand Traverse Bay -- some stop at Sutton's Bay, some continue across M204 to Leland -- but in 2014 it's an especially good idea to continue up M22 all the way to Northport, at the far end of the Leelanau Peninsula. Old favorites such as... More

We did some of the Wineries on the Peninsula, a leisurely meal at Leland, and stayed at the Grand Victorian in Bellaire. It was a great romantic escape. The scenery in northern Michigan is beautiful and the wineries are fun to visit. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a cost effect, nearby escape.

There are now 25 wineries in Leelanau County, which is the beautiful Michigan County just north of Traverse City. Many visitors who visit Northern Michigan go no further than Traverse City for the Cherry Festival in July -- and Leelanau County is so much more! The Leelanau Peninsula vintners have organized three "loops" to help route visitors to wineries that... More
