I would have made a dreadful pioneer. It was hot, it was dusty but oh, so magnificent. The scenery is beautiful but it also gave me a real appreciation of what the early pioneers had to endure. I am never disappointed in a national park or monument and this one is no different. It is a beautiful area with great views. The Park Rangers are super friendly and helpful. We drove to the top of the bluff and walked down the 1.5 mile paved trail and took a shuttle back for our car. The trail loops around... More

Simply sticking up out of the flat lands of Nebraska, this National Park is a quiet monument to the thousands of Americans who travelled west over the American Prairie. A short drive around the Bluff provides breattaking views of the FLAT terrain. One can almost feel like they are in the Conastoga Wagons heading west
