I have been to Shipshewana, Amish country in Indiana, and thought it was lovely, but I have to admit that Ohio Amish country is even more appealing. The landscape here has more, and larger, rolling hills, less commercialism than Shipshewana, and more peacefulness, or at...More

Any of the Sugarcreek, Berlin and Walnut Creek Bed and Breakfasts and hotels will provide a comfortable night's sleep. Our favorite is the Berlin Grande Hotel. The Wallhouse Hotel in Walnut Creek is newer and more modern.

Ohio's Amish County is open year round. The Amish celebrate Christmas a week or so after December 25, so check schedules before making the trip to ensure the tourist attractions and restaurants will be open.
