If I had watched videos of Needles Highway before going, I probably would have passed. It is a beautiful drive and the narrow tunnels and views of the rock formations are something you will not see anywhere else. However, if heights bother you at all,...More

Take your time and enjoy this wonderfully, scenic drive. There are several places to easily pull over and take photos. Several spots are narrow and there are multiple hairpin turns, so be careful. Needle Highway won't disappoint!

Gorgeous scenery and drive. Roads were narrow with steep cliffs and tight curves, so if you're a nervous driver, this may not be for you. Lots of parking for pictures. Park service needs to put up more signs to tell us how far along we...More

Beautiful, beautiful scenery in Custer State Park. We were able to see the Needles Eye. Went through one tight tunnel! Very nice drive.

Neat scenic drive through parts of Custer State Park. Some crazy tight tunnels, wildlife and great views along the way.

This is a beautiful drive. Only one tunnel is "tight" feeling but easy to drive through. Highly recommend the experience. Does cost $20 to enter Custer State Park

This is a beautiful drive with many places to stop and take pictures along the way. If you get car sick, I wouldn't recommend it as it's very curvy. Gorgeous views!

We took the drive from Sylvan Lake about 1.5 hrs pre sunset (630 pm) toward Legion Lake. We took over an hour but pulled over at many of the stops because the sun was so right on the rocks. Then as we traveled further on...More

Measurements told us a 2014 Chevy 3500 would make it though the narrowest 8'4" wide tunnel and it did! (No trailer) Not saying it wasn't a tight fit though...go slow for sure! No paint was scuffed so I'm calling it a success. Beautiful winding road...More

We have a 32 foot camper trailer we'll have hooked up to our truck. Is it possible to drive Needles with the camper attached?
