The Uintah Mountains are amazing - majestic, pine-filled, beautiful - that's the upside. They are so close to civilization that many people go to enjoy the area which is good and bad. It's nice to know so many people do enjoy the great outdoors and...More

We hiked the Henry's Fork Trail to the summit of King's Peak, the highest point in Utah. We camped out 2 nights at a beautiful location below Gunsight Pass. There was plenty of water in July, and the scenery was breathtaking. Rangers were out completing...More

Hiked to the top of Kings Peak, starting at the Henry Fork Trailhead. 30 miles roundtrip, totally worn out, but well worth the effort! Amazing scenery, and peaceful (if you ignore the Boy Scouts) surroundings!
