Although I only hiked here this was a very nice 400 acre park with campgrounds, scenic picnic areas and few hiking trails. I hiked the 2.7 mile trail which was mostly wooded with lots of ferns and occasional views of the reservoir. In the winter...More

Well I made a mistake with this one! I'm not much of a camper so I didn't really consider certain things when booking... so the campground is advertised as being the highest (in the area?) which means one thing- it's absolutely freezing! In August! We...More

We had a great secluded site (23) with a nice water view (but nowhere to set up chairs or anything). There was hardly anyone at the park, which was nice! We drove around to check out the other sites, and the ones that had grass...More

My 8-year-old and I took a train for 9 hours followed by a 5 hour car ride to get to Woodford State Park in Vermont. It was worth every bit of the trip. Given the season and the presence of a lake, I fully expected...More

Great campgrounds! Clean and beautiful higher altitude setting. Waterfront is especially lovely. Close to Bennington and Albany NY. Drawbacks... Only one shower in Restroom that you have to pay for but was never really crowded.

Beautiful lake, great for paddling and swimming, welcoming to dogs, clean campground (and great bathrooms). Good foliage cover for privacy between campsites. Separate campers beach area from the day use area was also nice. Campground a bit small may be a disappointment for kids, but...More

This campground is wonderful. Very clean park grounds, cabins and bathrooms! They have non-motorized boats for rent..canoes, kayaks, peddle boats and more. There are two designated areas to swim - day use and one for campers only. They are both small but neither were overly crowded...More

Very nice site, but our memories are clouded by our lack of sleep. The night we were there it was very loud. Clean bathrooms, had to pay for the shower.
