Make a splash in our Nation’s Capital aboard the DC Ducks, 1942 amphibious transport vehicles used to support and carry troops during World War II. Today they are a great way to see Washington by both land and sea. Winding our way first through the monuments, the Mall, the Capitol and museums of the Smithsonian before splashing into the Potomac and under the flight path at Reagan National Airport. Its fun for all ages!

Now, where do I start sharing one of the best experiences of my life. I visited DC last year in the summers of 2016. Owing to time constraints, I had to head back the next day which meant I had roughly 24 hours. The obvious choice was to pick a tour that would take me to the most important landmarks... More

When traveling across America we sometimes look for a Duck tour. We really enjoyed this tour~as always historical facts and also with interesting funny facts. Always a good time.

We have bee.n to Washington, DC several times, but had never been on this tour until our last trip. So, we had seen the major sights both by bus and river cruise on other trips. However, the thought of being on a WWII era amphibious vessel was exciting to my 8 and 9 year old boys. We took the Metro... More

This is a pretty unique tour of Washington DC. The Ducks are a amphibious vehicles that were builtin the 1940s when they were looking for a vehicle that could climb in and out of the water and carry heavy loads. The tour begins at union station where everyone is briefed about the safety of the vehicle. These are old vehicles... More

We have just got home from DC and the DC ducks tour was one of our highlights of the trip. The tour of the main sights is fairly standard and in line with other bus tours we did whilst in Washington. Our guide was great with his knowledge and made the experience really fun with his humour. What really sets... More

We went on the Duck Tour with Captain Steve on the Lame Duck (pronounced "Lah-may" so as not to hurt her feelings :) It was a wonderful tour, Captain Steve did a fantastic job making the history interesting and engaging for the kids as well as the adults, and even allowed the kids (and kids at heart) to steer the... We wanted to see the landmarks with historical information as well. There are so many choices, but DC Ducks had the edge since we could tour IN a vehicle full of historical value! Going from land to water in the same vehicle was amazing fun and the captain was the perfect guide and historian who clearly loved his job! 90... More

We took the DC Duck Tour on a cold and rainy day only because that was our only opportunity to do so. It's a fun thing to do because you see DC from two perspectives - land and sea. The duck departs and returns to Union Station near the Capitol Building. The tour guide points out points of interest along... More
