During our WDC conference, we visited all the major museums and Smithsonian building, their beautiful gardens. Love the photo booth by the entrance where you can take your photo consisting of their collection pieces in mosaic form and email back to you. It is great...More

Can't beat the price. So many museums and exhibits, so little time. Definitely an American gem. Great place.

Lots of resources for the museums can be acquired here. A few displays but not much else. Unfortunatly the tower was closed, our main reason for visiting.

Looks like a castle! Beautiful garden just outside! Super expensive cafe. Interactive displays, a few historical items, great architecture.

Allow plenty of time to get around and be ready for crowds. All Smithsonian's are free so you only have to figure out parking. The building is cool but not a lot inside.

Neat to be in the original Smithsonian building but not much to see. It had a cafe that offers a good selection of food and drink but not an inexpensive place. Worth a quick look while your in the area.

We love to start our trip to the Mall here. The castle is beautiful inside and out, well worth a stop. The displays are small, but interesting. The garden behind the building is beautiful. The restrooms are nice and clean.

Loved this place. Small but not crowded and very interesting to walk around. Loved the interactive video display. One of the nicest souvenir shops too. Good sized, clean restrooms.

You can see the entire Smithsonian Institution Building in an hour or two, in my opinion. Spend some time outside in the garden and admiring the architecture. Then see the exhibits inside. It isn't so much a museum as it is... More
