First of all, I was impressed that the Smithsonian does not charge an entrance fee. That allowed me to dash in twice and see their incredible Vermeer paintings in 45 minutes at the end of the day when I would not have been able to...More

I love this place - no matter how often we visit and how long we stay there is more to see. The East Wing alone is spectacular. And the cafes are a bonus when a break is needed.

An outstanding exhibit with many Vermeer's and fellow Dutch artists. We are so blessed to have the Smithsonian. You can never see it all!

Gorgeous and offers works from a broad range of artists, including Van Gogh and DaVinci. It’s not too large so you can certainly tour the entire facility within a few hours.

21st January 2018. Not easy to see Vermeers in the US, so well worth a special trip to visit this exhibition!

I visited midday on a weekday, and there was no line. Though busy, it was not crowded.
