We were recently there for the Kennedy Honors. It's a beautiful edifice with an auditorium that ranks with the best in the world. The stage, sight lines and acoustics were excellent. Try to take in one of the hundreds of presentations done each year.

Sadeh 21, I have heard about this company and finally had a chance to see them at the Opera house, FANTASTIC! performance and the music quite captivating and a times quite haunting as well. The dancer were sublime and fluid in their performance, quite the show and you leave with images of each of the dances in you head still... More

In the follow -up of our getting the acquaintance of the Washington D.C. we walked from behind the Lincoln Memorial to the left bank of Potomac River and headed upstream on the great, sunny, bright day to the wonderful edifice of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and little bit further to the very well-known complex of Watergate Buildings.... Of course you should, but if you have limited time, the Kennedy Center's views up and down the Potomac and across to Virginia are well worth the trip, especially as at the sun sets. Millennium Stage has free performances every night at 6:00. (Get there early if you want to sit).

An iconic performing arts center, and truly worth of its fame. If you have the time, try the café on the second floor and step onto the terrace. The view of Washington is wonderful.

We went here for the opera La Boheme. The facility is huge and awe inspiring with a large sculture of John F, Kennedy. The show was fantastic. Don't miss the gift shop either, we spent a long time in there, they have lots of cool and novelty gifts. Make sure that your taxi driver has a knowledge of the suburbs... More

We were able to see Little Dancer a fairly new musical. We all loved it including our husbands (usually fall asleep). I would recommend this venue to all visitors.

I have been to the JFK center for plays before, and loved it, but I recently took a free1-hour tour of the building and it was awesome! The tour guide was super engaging, knew his information, and took lots of questions from the audience. This really should be a must-do activity for anyone who is looking to do something that... This center for the performing arts is the place to experience culture at it's best. From dancers to singers to special performances often seen by the President, you never know what you might see. I have been there often and I love it. Parking is available but it is expensive.

The Kennedy Center is a cultural icon in DC and has three spectacular performance spaces -- a theatre, an opera house and a concert hall. They have parking below the Center, although it is $23 per performance. Anything you see there is worthwhile.
