A charming neighborhood that, with its upscale boutiques and notable residents, is more than a college hangout.

Unfortunately it was raining but only very slightly, but that did not dampen the beauty of this place, its like a village in the Cotswold's with very pleasant people to, very friendly and courteous. Its a must visit for some antiquities or for a bite...More

Such a small area but such a wealth of interesting facades, stores, and history. I like Georgetown because it is a small reflection of what Washington was, once upon a time. It is walker friendly, easy to get to and fun to browse. Lots of...More

Georgetown is almost un-American in its quaintness. It's therefore easy to forget that it's one of the older/oldest settlements in the country. The shops are small and quaint, the restaurants are many and diverse (with un-American portions, which I could actually manage for once) and...More

The main drag is packed with cars and people and is one fancy store after another. The parking situation is bleak, but once you're on the street it's a great place to walk around and people watch.

Georgetown is an upscale neighborhood filled with cafes, restaurants, boutiques and shops. It is vibrant and a happening place. Since we were in Washington for only two full days, we spent one morning there then had lunch in a residential area in town before heading...More

If you like to shop and lunch/dine in a friendly neighbourhood this is the place. Don't forget to walk around the street and look at the beautiful houses. Stay away from the river area... this is not as it used to be..

A complete contrast from the rest of Washington. Don't just stick to the main raid you need to explore the side streets and around the canal. Some good bars and cafes in the area.

Probably the best and coolest neighborhood in WDC...also the most expensive... The área is safe 24 hrs, with some of the best bars and restaurants in town.

A quaint village outside the bustle of Washington DC. Great place to meander along the paths and eat, shop, libation and or simply enjoy live entertainment. It is a must visit while to decompress from the National Monument.

Georgetown offers a wide variety of activities, shopping and restaurants. A little expensive as is all of DC but that is what DC is about. Great place to stay and is centrally located to all the sites and DC buildings

We didn't have a car and used the metro which was easy to use and Lyft. Traffic was terrible. I wouldn't drive. I don't recall seeing parking so not even sure that situation. But Georgetown was cool. We walked around and... More

Yes... you might need to be aware of the drunks and homeless but plenty of police presence. You should look into Uber or lyfte if it gets to late.

The main intersection is Wisconsin Ave and M Street. Wisconsin has mostly shops, M St has mostly restaurants, but both are fun to walk along, albeit busy. The canal is about two blocks downhill from M St running parallel... More
