This is a nice and interesting place to walk especially during the cold season. An excellent option for a respite between saturated museums.

If you can, visit during the week. I visit a few times a year, usually during the week. Made the mistake of going midday on Sunday and it was CRAZY crowded. Still nice, but hard to navigate. Much more pleasant in off hours.

We loved spending a quick hour or so here in February. Great photo ops, good information from the docents, clean bathrooms.... and warm and sunny when it was just sunny, definitely NOT warm outside.

Orchids in their natural setting in this Garden is a must-see. Although some might be interested in the carnivorous display. That just is not my preference. Lots of greenery. I do prefer a little more color. The US botanic garden is a smaller indoor garden...More

Something to see in any season. In mid-winter we enjoyed walking among tropical and desert garden sections. Orchids here are always a treat. Beautiful. On the first day reopening after Congress shut down the government we had the garden almost to ourselves. Very peaceful.

Such a beautiful place to visit! It was so nice to escape the cold and be surrounded by gorgeous plants & flowers. If it wasn't just about to close, I could have relaxed there for hours. Wish it was in my backyard!
