Wow what a waste of time. After just completing an awesome DC by Foot walking tour of the outside of the Capitol, the Supreme Court and the Library of Congress we were escorted to the visitor center for the Capitol's tour with the Capitol's own tour guides. Hint - if you are in the LoC and you made it through... More

We were with a tour group so didn't have to wait long to do anything, but there was a long line just to get in - had to show ID, not carry any big bags, food, water or gum! Lots of people. The statues were really great to see - we're from New Mexico & were interested to see the... More

We were here during Spring Break--and the rest of the country was here at the same time. Well, it seemed that way. Use the secret tunnel run between the Library of Congress and the Capitol. Okay, it really isn’t secret, but extremely helpful during the rain. There can be massive lines for tours—book ahead. But regardless, walk about and learn... More

The movie and guided tour are superb. Make sure you get your time tickets upon entering. The guides will make they stop by your state statues and point them out.

I am sure to take all my visitors to this greatly organized movie and tour. It is educational and fun. All ages can take something away from the experience. All especially enjoyed the short movie introduction. Even when crowded, the organization keeps things moving fast.

Our family took the free tour of the Capitol building on April 1, and we had a great time! Our tour guide, Lynwood, did a great job relaying stories and history of the Capitol. We did not have a pre-booked tour, but we still got into an unscheduled tour within about 30 minutes. You receive a headset and receiver, and... More

Great building to visit. reserve your spot and go in quickly. Watch movie about the capitol, then take a tour of the crypt, rotunda, senate etc. Must see very educational and informative.

The United States Capitol Visitor Center is a very large underground place, for up to 4,000 people. The building is beautiful, the staff were really helpful and kind. You can't get lost... there are plenty of staff to show you the right direction. If you are tired, thirsty or hungry there is a cafeteria where you can have a rest... More
