Having been in the Military I can relate to this beautiful area. The Marines on parade are all spit and polish and are truly "The Few, The Proud, The Marines" Try and catch the Friday night parade.

Went to see the last parade of the season. It was a very moving experience....very well done. The crowds were overwhelming after the parade but there was little to be done.

The best time to come is for the Friday evening tattoo. See the Marines crack drill team. It is also surrounded by some of the most interesting restaurants in DC
