Great concert venue. Food is just ok. Food and drinks are overpriced even for DC. Turnover of waitstaff and bartenders are high you may never see the same folks twice. Door staff... read more

Great concerts in a smaller setting. Lower level is standing room and then the 2nd level has additional seating. Waiters were average but the door staff was very professional and responsive. Nice bonus of tvs with the show ensuring everyone can see the act. Would definitely return to this theater for another show.

Great concert venue. Food is just ok. Food and drinks are overpriced even for DC. Turnover of waitstaff and bartenders are high you may never see the same folks twice. Door staff is courteous and professional lines are usually long so show up early. The venue is spacious and seating is comfortable. They have monitors so everyone can see the... More

We recently went to Howard theater to see the "Harlem gospel choir brunch". We discovered after sitting down that the brunch was an additional charge- a minimum of $20. This wasn't that big of a deal except the server never came to take our order. After a long wait and flagging him down we were able to order. The food... More

Recently, we enjoyed the concert performed by Yacht Rock at this theatre. What a wonderful place to enjoy music for an evening. The staff were very friendly, and our drink orders were taken care of quickly. There was a large dance floor allowing patrons to stand up close and personal to watch this band perform. There is also an elevated... More

The old theatre was far more glamorous. The new one is fine though....small, but charming. Valet was great because we left a little early to beat the rush. I would come again. The show was great, but sheesh there was no AC. What's up with that in the middle of August? And no bag check? no security walking around? its... More

My wife and I attended the Max Major show a the Howard theater. We were extremely lucky to catch a parking spot out front - no meters!). I had read so-so reviews on the food and service, so we arrived early and had dinner next door at the Right Proper Brewing Company, and right proper indeed. Nice beers, great bar... More

The new management is stepping it up big time! The food is great now, absolutely delicious, the service was spot on even through the whole show. The show was mowtown and was the best! Will absolutely go back!

We went to see Maysa for Valentine's Day. She is an awesome jazz artist. Her show was really nice and I am definitely a fan of hers. The venue was packed. The tables are so close together that you feel like sardines. I know money has to be made, but no one should pay that much for tickets and feel... More

Went to a musical performance at the venue. Very easy to get to via the Metro and a short walk. The Howard was clean and the staff courteous. Overall, a good time.

Abominable service for mediocre and overpriced food. 60 minutes for 2 out of 3 drinks we ordered and another 15 for the 3rd. "The Mountain Dew machine is broken." We then got our servers attention to order food which took another 30 minutes and was screwed up. 15% gratuity added to the check kind of gives you an idea of... More
