There's a lot to say (good and bad) about H Street in NE DC, but this review is about the H Street Festival. We've been to a lot of street festivals in the DC area, and ths was one of the best. It runs about a mile, with food vendors, crafters, issue advocates, and merchants along the way. The diversity... More

H Street was one of several DC thoroughfares that were very heavily damaged in the 1968 riots, and the last of those avenues to see an urban renaissance. H Street is finally back. A new street car line runs the length of the strip, starting at Union Station. H is known locally for the bars and some rock venues (as... More

I always love going out on H street. This area has the best food joints, great entertainment (Atlas Theater, Rock&Roll Hotel, Mini Golf at H Street Country Club), and a cool vibe. It's a little out of the way if you don't have a car, but now that the street car is up and running (free rides!) there is no... More

During the day on Mondays through Wednesdays, it was bit quieter than weekends, bars and restaurants were hidden, but on weekends, it was alive, busting and bars/restaurants were open that you did not noticed during the daytimes, but this street does not have NYC's cliche!

I had my hostel n this street. It is near most things. In fact i walked to everything from my hostel (Union Station and The Mall and all). Everything closes down very early. I remember walking around 8 pm and most of shops were closed and it was deserted.

I came by with my family for the H Street festival. Crazy crowds and lots of good food to try. Lots of great bars and restaurants everywhere... Street car tracks seem to be ready but no car in sight. There are still pockets along H Street that needs to be improved, but overall H Street is slowly growing to be... More

This is a hot, up-and-coming district with lots of nightlife. Inwent to a concert here, and it was nice. They have a bus to take you there from Chinatown, but it's close enough to walk.

There didn't seem to be anything particularly special about this street in downtown Washington DC. We came here in order to have lunch at Momiji, which was a popular and inexpensive Japanese restaurant in H street. The so called "Chinatown" area has few redeeming features of interest. Not really anything of interest for tourists here.

Lots of shopping at lots of shops! I liked the variety I liked the street life as I wandered around late afternoon.

I really enjoyed my time on H St this morning. Perhaps from an objective standpoint the previous reviews that said this neighborhood was changing but had a ways to go are correct. However, for me it was a real pleasure to see what it has already become. I was born in Washington, but the last time I lived here was... More
