The docents were hands down the highlight of this stop. They were knowledgeable and kind. Clearly enthusiastic about the area they love. He museum itself was ho-hum. But at $5 entry fee it was worth a quick walk through.

Was looking for something to do near Mesa to kill a few hours. Chose this mueseum solely for its name. Was oddly interesting for such a small mueseum. Loved all the Native (Apache) stuff and the Dutchman’s treasure! :)

We stopped here on our way to Superstition Mountain and they had a lot of artists here with their wares. They also had a miniature train display. Some wonderful Donkeys and a mule. You may feed them and very sweet in a cantankerous delightful way....More

A small museum that was once the place where old time western movies were shot. Most of the sites are free and outdoors. A church, blacksmith shop, railway exhibit, graveyard, and more. Inside is a more formal museum which has an admission charge. We did...More

Take Highway 88 (North Apache Trail) from Apache Junction. It's just past North Mountain View Road on the right.
