Disneyland was a great experience for me and my family. I had so much fun on the rides and in the different locations.

Not Okay! Male employee wearing dress at entrance to children’s store! Unless things change won’t come back.

Too many allowed in and massively over priced merch..if u got kids, u must do lightening pass - get they need visitors, but they do let too many in and it is packed..if u got app etc. great, but no manual signage - hence, u cant grab a coffee, let alone food, unless you are prepared to queue yet again..it is great, but choose your trip carefully…

This was our first time at Disneyland (have been to Disney World in Florida) and were really disappointed with Disneyland. The first impression by the front gate staff is fantastic. They definitely have the Disney spirit. Then you get inside and it is a whole lot of young staff who are power tripping. They think because they are wearing a costume that they can speak to people however they want.
We witnessed a young lady at the Railway Station swear at some customers. They walked through a door to board the train and she ran after them saying out loud "For F*** sakes!!!" and told them they couldn't go through that door. For clarity, there was no sign on the door, no rope telling anyone not to go through there. So the poor people were really confused about why this girl had reacted this way.
Don't waste your money on the Genie pass unless you are super planned and can plan your attractions in advance. You can only book certain experiences and only one at a time. Then you have to wait 2 hours before you can book the next one. We got the pass at midday, the earliest time we could book for an experience was 6pm. This is likely our fault for not understanding how the Genie pass works, hence why I'm saying that if you are really good at forward planning, then this could possibly work for you.
The wait times for the rides are all wrong. We booked to go on an attraction at 6pm. We decided to queue for Peter Pan standby at 5pm (as it said a standby time of 30 minutes). 1 hour and 20 minutes later, we were still not on the ride. Thankfully, the Genie bookings last for 1 hour, so we got to our booked attraction with about 10 minutes to spare. We got off Peter Pan and they had increased the wait time to 50 minutes. we told a crew member that that wasn't accurate and he just smiled meekly and did nothing.
The other thing with the Genie pass is that you don't get in much quicker. We booked for the Star Wars Millenium Falcon ride. The standby line was 100 minutes, we queued for about 60 minutes despite having the lightening line. So either they just let everyone in who has the pass or they let heaps of people book the same time. We only used the pass for 2 rides so was an absolute waste of money. They also change the time that you book. I went to book Autopia for 8pm and it let me book - then I checked in the app and it had changed to 10pm!
The blonde conductor on the tram in the Adventure Park was great. Enthusiastic and definitely possessed the Disney spirit. A shame that she doesn't work in more places around the park.
A lady working at the Candy store on the Main Street was also super rude. Her 'job' was to tell people to queue for the counters where she wanted them to queue. As i walked into the store, I watched 2 women grab sweets off a display and walk straight to separate counters and pay for them. I walked around the store to get a few things, then got the same sweets off the same display and then approach a counter which was free. This lady approached me and told me to queue up on the other side of the store. I explained that there were other people who I had seen just walk straight to a counter, plus this counter was free and there was no queue of people. She just stared at me blankly and watched as I walked around the store to where she was making me queue. I stood at the front of the queue and looked at her. She made me wait a few minutes while counters were empty before she 'allowed' me to go ahead and make the purchase. In hindsight, I should have just left the items and left the store without making the purchase. Just another example of the power tripping going on everywhere.
Staff members stand on the footpath and tell you what direction you're allowed to walk. Even if you don't want to walk that way, they tell you where to walk. I get that this is likely to help with crowd control, but I don't want to go that way! How do I walk the way that I want to walk??
The fireworks display at 9.30pm was fantastic - the highlight of my day because I didn't have to deal with any of the 'crew members'. Definitely worth staying for that, but be prepared for a lot of tired, crying children who are forced to stay there past their bed time. I recommend standing nearer to the train station so you see all the fireworks as they go up into the sky. Standing too close means you have to strain your neck to look up. They also play fun character projections onto the buildings down the street.
I am glad that I had this experience, but I won't be back. I would recommend Walt Disney in Florida instead to people over Disneyland. It isn't even their peak season yet and staff are already appearing tired and over it.

Going on a Tuesday is definitely recommended over Fridays, and weekends. We found we could sign up for lightnimg service as I couldn't stand too long on my injured foot. We were able to sign in, and come back within a certain timeframe amd get in the lightning lane. We also used the Mobile app to order food, would have it ready between rides and this maximized our limited time frame, getting in about 6 rides. If you are injured or need assistance simply go to the main office at the park's entrance and they will set you up. A maximum of 5 people can be in your party. Thank you Disneyland for helping me enjoy my visit, after well over 28 years. The park looks amazing for it's age!!

I've been going to Disney for over two decades at this point. There's been obvious cost-cutting measures in ride maintenance that have resulted in frequent, and sometomes elongated, ride shut downs. Rise of the Resistance is particularly bad and we waited a combined 2.5 hours for nothing in our two attempts to ride it. Hopefully Disney gets their act together and gets the rides back in working order because it's getting fairly insufferable at this point.

Rides were broken or broke after standing in long lines. Paid extra for Premium parking but could have walked to regular parking much quicker. The empty Toy Story shuttle buses were lined up across the street but would not pull up to load passengers until one bus loaded and left. Very inefficient. Resulted in extremely long lines and a 35 minute wait just to get on the shuttle. We have visited there many times but definitely no longer worth the money it costs.

It was awful. Too many areas cordoned off and we could not enter. They charged the full amount when there were not all open. Crowded. They are not honor reservation time and it leds to crowding and long line.

After spending thousands of dollars on tickets, getting to the park before it opens, and hustling to the first ride (Rise of the Resistance), we were turned away because of a “temporary closure.” Heading to the next ride (Big Thunder Mountain), we checked the app to find that it was also temporarily closed. If the rides aren’t ready when the ark opens, I can’t imagine how the rest of the day will go.

Qualcuno mi sa dire se pernottando in un hotel Disney la tariffa comprende l’ingresso ad entrambi i parchi? Ci sono biglietti saltafila a parte i fast pass?

Our date of visit will be 2/23. We want the 1 day park Hopper pass. Should I buy the tickets the morning of or buy in advance now online?

Buy in advance as they make you reserve the park you wish to enter in the morning and then you’re allowed to hop only in the afternoon.

Does anyone know of a way to get from Burbank to Anaheim without using Lyft or Uber? Is there a shuttle to and from the Burbank airport? A train or direct bus route?
I just moved to Burbank recently but I am unable to drive from there to Anaheim and am looking for a cheaper solution.
I've looked everywhere online but couldn't find any information. Thanks in advance!
Besides strollers for infants are there any other forms of transportation that you can rent for families or senior citizens to get around?

Yes you can rent adult scooters or wheelchairs. These may need to be booked in advance.

Is it worth doing Disney Park and Disney California Adventure park? or just 1 or the other? we are 2 adults travelling between 19 - 24 December 2022. If we do both parks is it also worth doing universal studios?
TIA for the help :)

You can do both parks in two days. I was surprised how close the parks were to each other and downtown Disney compared to Disneyworld in Florida. We loved incredicoaster!!

Is Thursday or Friday better day to visit Disneyland?
I really do want to see the fireworks, but Im little bit worried, that there wont be any fireworks on Thursday as I heard, that they sometime cancel them, due to "technical difficulties" durring the week.

Hello,
We went on Friday and Monday and we stayed close enough to see the fireworks. They only have the fireworks every second day and the light show at California adventure on the other nights you might want to see if there is a schedule as it seems to change.

My son got Disneyland tickets for his family December 2019. He could not use them because Disneyland was closed because of Covid when was able to go. Are his tickets still good. He is a California resident.
I talked to a Disney person last year and she said they were good till 2022. Please advise. Thank you

Make sure you phone Disneyland itself to get the answer for this. I don't know their policies. I've heard people have had their tickets honoured if it was while the parks were closed (but you still have to reserve which day) but only Disneyland will give you a definitive answer and you'll have all your correspondence on paper.

We are heading to Disneyland at the end of the month. Has anyone used ridemax since Disneyland implemented Genie?
