Great trails, beautiful scenery, bike paths.....awesome. The Redwood forests of Nortern California are a thing of intense beauty. The safety and peacefulness of these trails are unequaled.

Easy to access with beautiful trails and just amazing old trees. And it is dog friendly (but keep your pooch on leash).

Arcata embodies everything great about California, and this wonderfully preserved patch of Redwoods is a big part of that for me anytime I'm in the area. I love taking my dog through the trails, and we usually encounter other friendly dogs(and humans) along the way....More

We hiked in the area and really enjoyed the old trees and peacefulness of the area. There were horses, bikes and other hikers but it was not disturbing. Truly a jewel of Arcata.

This park is beautiful and peaceful. Many trails to choose from and connected to Redwood park which has a great playground for the kids.
