Very friendly guards let us in early to the open viewing. Very nice museum set up. Indian baskets and history, took picture of "wanted" individual from our group, Love the "hat" display, stage coach and train display. Do have a donation container.

We were able to park right in their lot. The museum is free (you can give a donation). It is very cute and it caters to school children, which is a nice touch!

This is a super site to review some of the history of the gold rush inspired growth of the sierra foothills. It's small but located in the old Auburn courthouse.

Check out the well-curated museum on the first floor, and the fully restored courtroom, still in use, on the 3rd floor.

I had to do some business at the Placer County Courthouse one day and was shocked to see a WONDERFUL American Indian Museum there! They had a wonderful collection of artifacts. I would recommend a trip with the kids or for anyone actually! Enjoy!
