My husband and I kept hearing about and seeing signs for the Bob Jones Trail. We wanted to take a bike ride and thought the trail would be a good place to do so. Little did we know that it would be one of the most beautiful, breathtaking trails we would ever ride on. While biking on the trail we... More

This path is long enough for a good walk or run and you can turn around anytime you want if you wish to go shorter. Very pleasant and off the main road.

I love riding bikes down this trail. It's fun to walk and take dogs too but a majority of it is paved and doesn't take as long on a bike. A cool thing to do on a nice sunny day. Drops you off right out of the golf course at the beach.

About 2.5 miles each way (depending where you start), lovely paved trail with very gentle incline by the golf course.

This a great resource - the trail is paved and leads from a park & ride spot, right to Avila beach. The trail has some great view points and some interesting information boards along the way

I use this trail almost every day. Sometimes I walk sometimes I ride my bike sometimes I'm on my way to the golf course. The trail has two distinct parts - one part is along the golf course and creek and one part is more woods and serene. Both parts are very nice - the trail is about 2.5 miles... More

A six mile walk. You can see he golf course and the little town. Finally got my husband out exercising even though it was a casual walk. It's become a tradition

We had a great ride out this trail on our last visit to Avila Beach. Wide and smooth, it's a path for all levels of riders.

We stayed at Avila Village Inn, half way between the start and end of the bike trail. That gave us the opportunity to walk in both directions on different days, seeing a golf course, river, and birds (it's a bird sanctuary) one day, and apple orchards the next. Idyllic environment for walking, jogging, or bike riding. Lots of bikers, but... More

Bob Jones Trail is a must. Great for bicycling, rollerblading, jogging or just a beautiful nature walk. Paved and a must for all ages.
