This is a place unlike any other, ask anyone who has been here. A place with walls that whisper, floors that creak underoot, a place with a rare history, a patina left by time and an endless parade of characters.Off the beaten path, nestled at the base of Long's Peak along the scenic Peak to Peak highway, you'll discover one of the West's best kept secrets, rich in the traditions and arts of the Indigenous American.

We were told about this place by a local. It's located just a few miles from downtown. It a museum/store with tons of Native American Indian items. Very pleasant and informative workers. Free, but we did make a purchase.

Eagle Plume's Trading Post was once a tea room--- but for 50 years and more it has been a annual destination for tourists, summer residents, and locals. The building itself is worth a visit, and the collections it holds are stunning. Not to be missed!

We stopped here based on a recommendation from one of our Allenspark shopkeepers. She mentioned we could learn about Native American history, view some neat artifacts, and shop for some beautiful and one-of-a-kind jewelry. We spent nearly 90 minutes talking to the staff, learning about...More
