Wen to Montgomery Reservoir as an easy hike we could take my 92 year old grandmother. The road up to the top of the res was fairly easy with a jeep trail going from there. We parked at the top of the res, and hiked...More

Beautiful Lake and great trout fishing - the hike up to Magnolia Mills is easy and we'll worth it. There is a beautiful stream cascading down next to the Mill to Montgomery reservoir.

Nice side trip. We explored the Magnolia Mine and hiked along the Wheeler Trail. Lots of historic sites beyond the reservoir.

Lovely mountain reservoir! We had fun catching and releasing trout. Restroom facilities would be nice though.

This is a beautiful mountain lake. The hike up the waterfall is a "don't miss" hike. You can catch a lot of trout near the dam.

Great fishing, great views and take the time to drive up to the waterfall and then look around the old gold mine

We had heard that this was a great place for trout fishing. A trip to Walmart to buy poles, license and worms - great day! We didn't go any further than the water, but it was beautiful!

Take county road 4 about 11 miles south of Breckenridge. It's a dirt road but drivable with a sedan, SUV would help, just go slow. The reservoir is beautiful and we were here in September and it was not crowded. You can drive all the...More
