We are non-skiiers so we caught the gondola to the top of Ajax/Aspen and took the snowshoe tour. It was the highlight of our trip. Excellent guide who was passionate about the history and environment of the mountain and told us things we would never...More

Though the natural snow still is lacking, the man-made stuff covers a nice skin route to the top on freshly groomed corduroy. There are dozens or early morning skinners ascending before the Gondola starts uploading and the ride down is always sweet, arching big turns...More

Awesome, wide runs, fast lifts, beautiful views and great food up on the mountain. On my skis for four days here and loved every minute. Challenging runs and some easier one too if that is your thing. Aspen Mountain is a place like no other!!

Self service selection of typical food on the ski slopes eg. Soups, pizza, salads, Hamburgers washed down with a beer or wine. Satisfying but expensive. Do not expect gourmet. Lovely setting at 11200 feet

The gondola ride was very fairly priced, quite cool, and cool up the top. Worth the time as we got an awesome view from the top. The bar was shut as prep for a wedding 🎩 👰🏻 was underway - not even a glass of...More

We had long wanted to visit Aspen and a sunny September Sunday made for a pleasant experience. We decided to hike up the mountain rather than pay for a gondola ride. It was an arduous 3.5 miles as it included over 3,000 feet of elevation...More

This was a great view when on top. We took the gondola, but at $21 each, it was a little pricey. But, up top, there was a fair amount to see. they had lots of family activities from checkers, chess, climbing, disk golf, etc.

We’ve taken more than our share of gondola and tram rides, and they are always dependent on weather. However, on a beautiful day, the Aspen gondola ride is right up there with any of them due to the views it provides of Aspen on the...More

How can you compare the beauty, natural beauty, of the mountains with the local shopping. Go to Aspen toi enjoy nature, as in the area.

Hi Karen, I don’t ski - my other half is the skier. Your best bet is to Phone a local ski shop, ask for a local who skis and have a discussion with them. Just about everyone, in most shops are Aussies who live and work... More
