Mid-June gives loads of beautiful wild flowers, whether you walk up the mountain or take the gondola. Same for the view from the top (see photos). Highly recommended. BTW, if you walk up, you get a free gondy ride down (until about 4:30).

Enjoyed the hike with Hank my Lab. I like going up the Ute trail rather than directly up the tram area. Nice to ride the tram back to town.

The locals will try and scare less confident skiers away, and there are no beginner trails on the mountain. But there are plenty of blue groomers so if you are comfortable skiing blues then Ajax is very doable. I will say, however, that I was...More

Aspen is one of those musts for Colorado skiing. It's top notch in terms of amenities but the skiing is great as well.

Great outdoor area to have a drink located at the base of the gondola on Aspen Mountain. Can't beat the views!

This may be a bit above my skiing level but I made it! We went for a long hike at the top, probably a couple miles. You should definately do it. I've only skied a handful of times (Floridian) but wow this was great! Even...More
