I loved the John Denver rock garden! The stones were beautifully etched with the words from many of his popular songs!

As you might imagine Free and Aspen not always go together. However, this is a must see visitor's site that I hope remains free to everyone. Already a historic memorial to John Denver, is the place to relax and enjoy nature, hope you agree!..

Incredibly peaceful and enjoyable area for a walk. Regardless of the weather, as long as you’re dressed appropriately I’m sure you’ll enjoy.

If you are a John Denver fan, this is a mecca spot to visit in Aspen. This serene sanctuary is complete with huge boulders that are etched with the lyrics of many of his most famous songs: Rocky Mountain High, Annie's Song, Sunshine On My...More

Enjoyed walking through in winter- very scenic- many people out with their dogs playing in the snow.

Snow covered and tucked away in Aspen. Almost walked right past the entry. What a tranquil area and pretty memorial to John Denver. It was snow covered but clear path to walk through, crossing the water easily. No one else was there.

I visited in winter so there was snow and not an opportunity to lounge. There are song lyrics carved onto stones, a stream and small pond. Beautiful snow covered in winter I think it will be even nicer in summer when you can relax and...More

I would suggest contacting Willie Hoevers, who is also making plans for the 20th anniversary of John Denver's death. Willie is also on Facebook. My wife Diane tells me she knows you from Facebook. We live up in Wisconsin.
