Pretty park

Enjoyed walking through in winter- very scenic- many people out with their dogs playing in the snow.

Snow covered and tucked away in Aspen. Almost walked right past the entry. What a tranquil area and pretty memorial to John Denver. It was snow covered but clear path to walk through, crossing the water easily. No one else was there.

I visited in winter so there was snow and not an opportunity to lounge. There are song lyrics carved onto stones, a stream and small pond. Beautiful snow covered in winter I think it will be even nicer in summer when you can relax and...More

The John Denver Sanctuary was an unplanned, nice surprise experience to my husband and me! What a peaceful delight!

This was so relaxing. The poems/songs etched on the rocks were really special to read and soak in. The banking spring was peaceful. We went in the summer and sat by the pond for a short meditation. Wonderful spot hidden in the Aspen downtown area.

I wouldn’t recommend this as a destination to visit but it’s worthwhile if you happen to be in the neighborhood. Is not so much a botanical garden, though it does have quite a bit of landscaping. I found it to be an odd jumble of...More

If you recall John Denver's music then spend quite time at this park enjoying the environment and his songs chiseled into mammoth rocks.

Lovely visit. Lyrics carved in stones. Wonderful photo ops. Located centrally. Easy walk from downtown. You'll get a Rocky Mountain High. No one there with us in mid-November.

What a beautiful tribute to John Denver! This was a relaxing, peaceful walk to take during our day trip to Aspen. The ground was covered in snow. You could hear the water flowing and see the surrounding mountains. We enjoyed walking and reading the different...More

I would suggest contacting Willie Hoevers, who is also making plans for the 20th anniversary of John Denver's death. Willie is also on Facebook. My wife Diane tells me she knows you from Facebook. We live up in Wisconsin.
