Overall it's nice to walk round but it was pretty overgrown and unloved when we visited. Number of rocks have poems carved in, which was nice. Some good works of art to look at too. Worth a quick visit.

We went there in late September, when the aspens were turning a beautiful yellow. There were words to his songs on the big rocks. It was a beautiful, peaceful area to wander around.

This is one of those "must-do" attractions for visitors to Aspen. The sanctuary is absolutely stunning. There are plenty of beautiful flowers, birds, butterflies and water features. Some of John's moving lyrics are engraved on boulders. Find interesting sculptures as you meander through the sanctuary....More

Definitely worth the time to walk thru the park, the monuments to Denver's songs are fun and the trail very pretty, plus it's free. Enjoy!

We spent a little time in this park enjoying the fall colours. It is nicely designed , but relatively small. Parking is not straightforward and the entrance to the park not well signed.

Highly recommend to see this beautiful place! Sure wish they were playing JOHN Denver songs. It is a quiet and peaceful place to visit. Loved the songs on the huge boulders!

I would suggest contacting Willie Hoevers, who is also making plans for the 20th anniversary of John Denver's death. Willie is also on Facebook. My wife Diane tells me she knows you from Facebook. We live up in Wisconsin.
