I and my sons, 16 and 14, made a day trip along the Conundrum Creek Trail outside of Aspen. We hiked from the trail head to the Conundrum Hot Springs and back to the trail head. This makes for a long day trip, however, it...More

This over crowded 9 mile trail to the Hot Springs has been over used by the Denver Front Range hikers and it is a mess. The Hot Springs is full of bacteria, and users deficate anywhere they feel like it. Camping is not allowed within...More

but go early morn as some folks camp there for the evening and it can be noisy and disruptive, taking away from the enjoyment. It's not an easy hike so be in shape.

We had an absolute blast backpacking up the these springs. I believe it was 8 or 9 miles in and it is a trek with all your gear. But the views at the top were worth it. We met some wonderful people hanging out in...More

I did this hike (on a whim) super pregnant in one day...and I shouldn't have. Prepare and stay the night! Honestly, the worst part was getting all the way up and then having to turn around and leave the hot springs after only soaking for...More

My fiancé proposed to me at the hot springs, so this place is super special to me. It is a gorgeous trail with so much scenery, and the trail it's self was not too difficult until you cross over the river. It starts to become...More

Fantastic but grueling two-day hike to Conundrum Hot Springs with my wife and a few other middle-aged couples. The hike proved difficult for our aging group as we took nine hours to reach the hot springs. The views along the way were incredible. After an...More

This gorgeous hike is popular from the Aspen side - not so much from the Crested Butte side because it is a longer hike over a 13,000 foot pass from CB. Not sure either canyon approach can claim more beauty than the other. Just incredible...More
