these beautiful mountains are worth going out of your way to see. If you catch a blue bird day at the Highlands, go the the back deck at the top of the Loge Peak chair. Or catch the view at the top of the Pyramid peak run.

If you have the energy and stamina, take a bike. Otherwise, the bus is worth it. Better yet, if you have time, take a day or two to go for a hike! This is an absolutely stunning park.

The Maroon Bells have been used by every advertizing media I can think of, and for good reason. They are a breathtaking vista in all seasons. Most folks take the bus in summer/fall from Aspen Highlands and the bus drivers provide lots of information along the drive and then deposit you at the Park Service visitor center at Maroon Lake.... I have had the good fortune of getting to Aspen quite a bit! Maroon Bells are elusive, spectacular, and "per Google" the most photographed mountain in the world!! To see the Bells is easy from Glenwood 30 mins ( awesome place to get reasonable hotel), Denver 3hrs, Aspen 10 mins. While your up there check-out downtown Aspen, or explore Glenwood... More

I grew up in the area; LOVE Maroon Bells. A bit touristy now, but still beautiful and definitely a MUST place to visit in Colorado!

Beautiful drive to maroon bells. When the peaks first come into view you can't imagine it being any more beautiful. But every corner and as you get closer it takes your breath away. We were there in late October with barely any one there. It was so peaceful and serene. You could really soak up the beauty.

I was expecting more of a hike to get here but when the bus drops you off this awesome view is right there. This is great for people that can't do a difficult hike. For the more adventurous, there is a decent hike to crater lake that is off of this trail. Beautiful on sunny and rainy days.

The journey to the park is half the adventure but when you get there and see the spectacular mountain vistas and the incredible lake it's hard to believe anywhere is more beautiful. Take snacks, sandwiches, easy carry and plenty of WATER to drink! Sit and enjoy views, walk the shoreline or hike on one of several trails. A natural wonder... More

Maroon Bells in Aspen is a wonderful, beautiful, and endearing place for all who go there. It started when I was six years old and my family and I all loaded into a 91’ Suburban and prepared for the thirty minute drive from Red Butte Avenue to Maroon Bells. As you exit Aspen and drive down the road, you enter... More

We did T-Lazy7's snowmobile tour. which far exceeded our expectations. The Maroon Bells i the winter are beyond description. And I can't say enough about the helpfulness, thoughtfulness and knowledge of our guide, Chaz.
