a beach in Colorado! There are not too many of these. Bring your bikes for the whole family as much of the bike trails are paved (without cars)

There are multiple walking or biking trails within the park, and multiple parking pull-offs. The swimming areas are busy. Bring sun shade with you if it is a sunny day.

Annual pass is well worth it. Hiking, biking, boating, fishing and camping in the heart of a major metropolitan area. If you are a birder bring your camera. Lovely place to go for a walk.

Beautiful lake, well maintained trails. Nice marina and RV park. Very dog friendly with a separate area for off-leash dog running. Huge picnic areas that you can book for large groups, or small ones with no reservations needed. Great fishing, skiing & boating.

At each entrance there are signs directing to the box to pay daily fees. Once the park opens the next day, you can purchase the annual pass if you prefer.
