This was hilarious! So you think your going to see some big building filled with artifacts however what you find is a small non descript building. The jail was so funny, it is a cement building with graffiti written on it no roof/no doors/no windows....More

Stopped in on a whim while shopping on Pine Avenue and really enjoyed it. You can browse and spend just a few mins or you could probably take your time and spend hours reading and investigating all they have to offer. We spent only 30...More

The Anna Maria Island Historical Museum is a "must see" for entire family. It's very interesting with all sorts of facts, exhibits and artifacts.

We really enjoyed spending time here and learning the history of Anna Maria Island. Looks small from outside but so much to learn about inside!

A definite stop while on AMI. Loaded with the history and prehistory of the island and the coolest old stuff and pictures. If you took the time you could learn a lot about the island history. I wasn't crazy about the kids having a clip...More

A very interesting and quaint museum on Anna Maria island. Good illustration of the recent and distant past going back to Spanish arrical c16 and the indiginous native tribes. Very interesting collection and highly enthusiastic volunteer staff.
