If you come to this town, you appreciate the stately homes, brick warehouses, now repurposed, and the overall feeling. Go to the Roman House to learn the surprising history of the area. Well worth the time.

I like to visit old houses. I like to see how people lived and interacted in bygone times. I like interesting stories of the Civil War.

Our guide had a plethora of knowledge. We ended up spending 75 minutes on a house tour. We enjoyed hearing the families rise and unfortunate decline.

What a great find and what a great way to learn the history of Apalachicola. Ranger Mike is out of this world. He is funny, engaging and filled with facts. It was so good I will go back.

We visited this park in September 2017. The ranger was very informative and the walk through the gardens and on the grounds is quite lovely

This is a beautiful restored home. It gives you a lot of insight to Apalachicola. The care taker gives you a good run down and really enjoys his job. Take the time and go visit.

We Almost skipped going through the house( time) but so glad we went through! The park ranger was amazing and did an awesome job taking us back to the early 1900's. The house has original buildings and a small botanical garden. Well worth the $2.00...More
