Lovely.

Small children seem to like the big swings and walkways. There is a lovely play park nearby, after your visit. The setting is lovely next to the river.

Was not aware of this plaza until I was staying at the Hilton Garden Inn across the street from the park. The life size memorial of Ray Charles sitting at the piano is truly a treat to see here. It slowly rotates and has his music piped in so it is very nice to hear him singing while admiring this... More

Not a lot to see in Albany so worth a visit. The plaza is within a larger park that is popular with locals. Not particularly a fan but he is a legend and they play his music by the monument

This was The Best Experience Ever! It was great to learn about the famous Ray Charles! They also had his music playing right by the statue.

Directly across the street from the Hilton Garden Inn, easily accessible by pedestrian friendly crosswalk. The place is well laid out and beautiful. The waterfall coupled with the outdoor music creates one of the nicest outdoor environments to just sit and unwind. If youd rather do some walking, theres direct paved access to the Flint River with beautiful views as... More

The statue of Ray Charles playing the piano is beautiful. The fountain adds a wow factor and then when his songs started playing, it was amazing. The piano keyboard walkway leading to the statue is so clever. The park and area surrounding the statue is beautiful. It is well worth the stop.

We are very proud that our city was able to accomplish such a beautiful area in memory of Ray Charles. It is a nice place to visit and a great area for photos, but do not go into this area after dark as it can become dangerous. It is definitely worth a visit though, because it was so thoughtfully executed... More

Music is part of the experience as you begin your walk. Ray Charles is represented in music, sculpture, and other ways. Wonderful scenic walk down to the river, then back up through the military memorials.Right downtown, and we watched couples in swings, kids playing, and a soccer game, demonstrating the community use of this area. We were very impressed with... More

The statue in the middle of the plaza looked so much like Ray Charles that you almost expected it to sing. His music played in the background and there was ion each side gigantic piano keys made into the sidewalk. My husband and I really enjoyed it.
