The quality of visiting this Caye probably depends on how you get there. It is a long boat ride to get here (I assume from everywhere on the mainland; we were in Hopkins and it was about one and a half hours). The water is...More

This place is so beautiful and peaceful. The waters are such a amazing crystal blue shade and it is fantastic for snorkeling. We loved the lizards and the wildlife. It is breathtaking and beautiful.

We went here with Island Expeditions and spent 6 nights on the island and exploring the water around. The wildlife in the ocean was spectacular and our guides showed us the wonders of the area. Can not say enough about this and the organization of...More

We stayed at the camp on Half Moon Caye for 4 days as part of an REI Adventure trip. It was fantastic - of course it helped that we had "chamber of commerce" weather. The boat trip out to the island was about 2.5 hours,...More

You’re going to feel like you washed up on a beautiful deserted island when you arrive at Half Moon Caye, located at the southeast corner of the Lighthouse Reef Atoll. Half Moon was our second stop after the Blue Hole, and that’s a hard act...More

We stayed here for 5 nights in the basecamp with Island Expeditions. We were a group of 14, 8 from Island Expeditions (Canada) and 6 from REI (USA). When we arrived we walked into jaw dropping beauty. Everything is pristine, the cabins are crisp white...More

We visited the Caye after diving the Blue Hole and before experiencing the Playground dive site just off the Caye. We enjoyed it all. They have a Red Footed Booby sanctuary on the island which is probably important. Cool for a quick visit but always...More

We stayed 4 nights in the tents as part of an Island Expedition Tour and it was the highlight of our 3 week Belize adventure. The island is a tropical paradise with warm turquoise waters, reefs for snorkeling, sandy beaches, a Red-footed booby colony, lots...More

I visited this island in 2010 (I know a long time ago) so I'll make this short as it's been almost 7 years. It was so beautiful. The water was so clear and the snorkeling was out of this world. I will never forgot my...More

Like many people this was the second stop on a Blue Hole day. We were a mix of divers and snorklers, and both groups absolutely loved the experience. Our best dive of our entire stay in Belize was the Playground- even better than the Aquarium....More

I was worried about the bathrooms before going as I wasn't sure what to expect. The compostable toilets are modern and look like actual toilets. There are 4 private stalls with full doors and one men's urinal (also private... More

Hi Alissa (and everyone who is reading this), Thanks for the review! I had a few questions to ask about this: 1. Where do you book to reserve spots with Island Expeditions 2. Are there a specific amount of days that we would have to go for or does the boat bring you back to the main island when it's your day/time to depart Belize? 3. How much does it cost per day to do this or is it a package? 4. Does Island Expeditions provide snorkeling equipment/diving equipment? 5. I do not have a diver's certificate--can I still dive with the group? Thanks for you help!
