Altun Ha was a nice excursion. Give yourself plenty of time to explore the site. We only had an hour as we needed to get back to catch the last ferry out of Belize City, but was able to see quite a bit of it.You...More

This was a great day! The tours guides there really know a lot of information and the only limitation we had was the amount of time there, I wish we could have stayed longer. I climbed two of the temples and got a lot of...More

This relatively small Mayan site was a great first visit of 3 sites we would see on our trip. The small museum is very instructive. The grounds are well kept with a golf course feel. The ruins reconstruction is well done, and one can climb...More

Well, our tour guide was very good. She made it interesting. Overall, average. You won’t be blown away with anything here. It’s just nice to say that you’ve been here once, that’s it.

Over the hill, through the valley, & into the football stadium. No, there is no football stadium, yet the central grass courtyard reminded me of one. Stand in the centre and it is the perfect spot to call to one another and hear clearly. An...More

The site was beautiful and there was a lot to learn from the area. The views were great and the walk from the parking lot was very short.

These ruins are small, but interesting. The most interesting part was the Temple of the Masonry Altars (main temple). I was able to climb it and had a nice view of the rest of the ruins. They aren't in any way strenuous. They aren't as...More

Nothing like the ruins in Mexico, but a fun stop. Only four are uncovered. Not sure why they stopped. Takes about 30 to 1 hour for the stop. That's it. Takes an hour to get there from the port/city. Lots of locals selling things.

Visited here on a private tour whilst on stopover with the Carnival Miracle. The ruins are not too far from the pier in Belize City, and the drive is beautiful. You can climb the ruins and have an amazing view of the whole complex and...More

We went to Lamanai and it was beautiful. Glad we made the decision to go here as the crowds were smaller and we were able to climb on of the main temples. Great views. Plus the tour to get their is by boat and the ride up... More

It's very safe. Tour companies are best. There really are no crowds since the area is so large.

I would say they aren't that winding. At least not the route that we took. I don't recall any mountainous roads. I think your kid will be fine.
