We booked a tour of Lamanai through our Carnival Cruise line. The cruise ship uses tenders to get to the port in Belize. The trip was $105 a person and took us off the ship for nearly 7 hours but it was well worth it....More

The monuments are an amazing piece of history. The guides are knowledegable, funny, and easy to talk to. Our trip to Lamanai was incredible, the food was delicious and we took home an incredible piece of history.

We travelled down the river wildlife watching on the way. The ruins are well preserved with some great views from the top. Fantastic birdlife in the surrounding jungle. A greatb place to visit

The motor boat ride takes about an hour and a half, during which the guide points out various birds and crocodiles. The Mayan temples are fantastic to view. You can climb to the top of several temples for beautiful views.
