My husband and I did the self-guided tour of St. Herman's Cave. For a minimal fee, you gain entrance to the cave as well as the Blue Hole cenote a mile down the road. There is a hiking trail which connects the two, but we opted to drive given the heat. The parking lot and ticket booth are right off the highway. If you've already got a ticket from the cave, just show it to the attendant. The cenote is down a short path and several steps. Blue Hole is small, but lovely. It's quite refreshing to take a dip in the cold water. Make sure to wear bug repellent on your face because the mosquitos are brutal. There is a concrete ledge at the bottom of the steps where you can drop your towel & stuff. We were there in the middle of the week and there were only 2 other people.

We visited the Park and didn't regret it. It was nice to swim in the cool water, with lots of fish between our feet. If you could get the chance, try to visit the nearby cave to !

We went tubing through the cave here. Easy access- the short walk in is flat and easy. The cave was interesting and fun to do from a tube floating through the current. Bathrooms available. Cool adventure! A nice activity for the whole family.

When traveling South, Blue Hole National Park makes for a great break spot to take a dip. Just a short hike down some stairs you arrive at the blue hole where you can enjoy a refreshing swim.

We were travelling from Belmopan to Placencia and this was the perfect stop on the way. We only did the short hike down some stairs to the blue hole as well as the short jungle-walk called the "Hummingbird-Loop" after. The latter took us about an hour with frequent stops to take pictures etc.
It is an easy hike through a nice little piece of jungle, but not too exicting overall. We did not really see any animals and you can hear the road throughout the hike.
There was an entrance fee to do so, not sure if it was BZD 5 or 10 anymore, though. We got the tickets at the official main entrance and than continued in the car to the separate parking for the blue hole (about 2km further east).

Bring mosquito spray for the hike!

We arrived after the Cave visit with only 10 minutes to walk down and put our feet in the water hole. It was pretty. The other reviews will have more details. Worth the $4 BZ per person to see it. Would probably be worth more time too but the park closed at 4:00 and we arrived at 3:50! It was a long day and we wanted to see it.

The cave was fine, certainly nothing compared to the ATM cave but it’s a good way to see if you will be comfortable in caves. After we went swimming in the blue hole and that was wonderful!

This is a pretty place, especially if you are not in a crowd. Walk down the stream to the caves and explore there. There are bathrooms and changing rooms. The pool is not far from the parking place off the highway.

We visited the National Park on Christmas Day and it was fantastic. We went to the Blue Hole first but it was too crowded, so went for a hike and visited St Herman's Cave, which are worth a visit. The hike wasn't difficult and we spotted a few birds on the way with magnificent views of the jungle. We went back the same way and had a really nice swim at the Blue Hole. It was late afternoon so it was very quite. A perfect day out!

First, there are two "Blue Hole" sites in Belize. The huge, ocean sink hole and the small pond by St. Hermann's Cave. I'm talking about the latter. It's admission was included in the price of the Cave Tubing, so we stopped to see it. Short, pleasant walk down into a valley, with the Blue Hole surrounding a concrete platform and stairs. Quite small, about 10 yds diameter. A pretty blue color at one end, and a peak back into the cave area at the other. Clean and cool.
