It is amazingly kept between all of this years, you can learn how the late pre-classic Mayan empire was starting :)

It’s a small place to see some exacted site and locals carrying out mayan ceremony. It is not worth the ticket price. Foreigners pay 10 times that of the local price. I wasn’t impressed with the area after having been to Tikal.

I guess if you don't have the chance/time to visit the more famous Mayan sites, this will do. The museum is really small, so is the Acropole but overall is nice. The park is well kept for the most part and you will see many families spending time together. The entrance fee for a foreigner is 50Q which is 10 times more than what the locals are paying, but this is how things work in Guatemala. I hope they will focus on developing this site in the future, it certainly has potential.

Learned something new here. Didn't know about ancient adobe construction in Central America. Nice spot to reflect on how far we've come and the things we don't know.

This is an unknown but really important archaological site in the middle of not-such-a-great neighborhood in Guatemala City. They are actively uncovering Mayan ruins and have a small visitor's center describing their work. The grounds are also beautiful and often used for both Christian and Mayan ceremonies. Well worth a visit.
