It was nice to read about the most recent artists of Guatemala. The permanent expo is great. The non-permanent exposition wasn't as captivating as the rest of the museum.

a small but varied collection of guatemalan art worthy of an afternoon visit. happy to see art musuems that make local visits affordable (Q5 for guatemalans) and the architecture was quite varied in style, so look up during your visit!

We ended up on an unplanned excursion to this museum and I'm so glad we did! It was a really interesting modern historical view of art in Guatemala, with some current and cutting-edge work.

Nice little museum, the visit itself isn't so well planned, I feel confused sometimes about what room what about which artist/period/style, but great presentation of guatelama art history and main modern artist, Carlos Mérida, set in a beautiful old building
