This was a great way to relieve our designated driver for a day and so glad we opted for this tour. A lovely little hike to see Pacaya Volcano close-up, we were the first party to ascend that day and glimpsed some lava. The views from the top were well worth it and taking El Arenal route on the descent was an adventure. After the hike, the Kawilal Spa was just the ticket! We even had the whole area to ourselves due to the pandemic, so all felt very safe. The smoothie and lunch there were also very delicious. Could have done with a tad more direction at times, but all part of the fun!…

We had originally signed up for the Antigua Self Guided trip, but ended up upgrading to the Colonial Antigua City Highlights as we were in the van with 4 others who were on that tour. Our guide, Fausto, nicely offered us this upgrade to join them on their tour and we were glad we did. You think you can tour on your own, but you experience it more richly when with a knowledgeable guide. We had a 90 min. AC ride from Puerto Quetzal to Antigua while Fausto spoke about the area and history. The walking tour was informative and the history quite impressive for this city. Lunch at the Convent of Santa Catalina under the arch was very good. Thank you, Fausto!…

I want tours to include real pictures instead of fantasy. The hot part of this volcano is a small depression that feels a little warm, littered with candy wrappers and sticks. If you pick up in Guat City it is a long drive, as you detour slowly through Antigua to pick up more people.…

Made a booking by myself which I had to pay for twice (I was desperate for something to do in GC), fair enough. However the tour was super quick and I was basically rushed through the market and the city centre, not even stopping for coffee as promised... it didn't feel in depth or worth my time and money at all on reflection, and the guide was hardly interested in much besides reeling off info... it felt super one-dimensional. I wouldn't do it again sadly.…
