We booked this tour ahead of time on internet. Left from cruise port in Santo Tomas de Castilla. We were so fortunate to actually go with Gus (he runs many tours and we were on his boat). One of us rides a disability scooter and he was so accommodating - actually took it in the boat (it is a small... More

Last week we were on a cruise with a stop in Santo Toas De Castilla, Guatamula. We did not book any excursion from the ship We wanted to go to Livingston and the Location Guide on our ship suggested we check out "Go With Gus" at the port. The office of Go With Gus is easy to find inside the... More

We booked a day trip on our own upon our cruise ship arrival at San Tomas de Castillo, Guatemala. Once our group was assembled we were briefed and began our boat trip (20 + minutes) to the mouth of the Rio Dulce. We enjoyed the sights along the river, took a short dip in a river hot spring, went under... More

First problem: I contacted Gus via his website and was instructed to wire money for a private tour for 4 people I had requested. Gus claims his website has been hacked (seems he already knew this problem with his website, yet didn't take down or repair his website).Claims he never received the money so I paid AGAIN via Shorefox, a... We were picked up at the cruise terminal and boated the beautiful 30 minute ride to Livingston. All the people we went with were on the tour to go to the school, so we parted ways, and Gus sent us on a separate boat with a driver and a guide (Abel, who was amazing to spend the day with, so... Dear Friends: Thank you so very much for such a wonderful review! This is what makes our company what it is. Abel also thanks you. He is one of our best tour guides. He showed us the pictures he took of you two, and they are really amazing. Hope to see you again in the future! More

On our first visit to Guatemala we wanted to see some local sights and get a feel for the culture. The Livingston Humanitarian Tour was perfect for us. We enjoyed seeing life on the river, and interacting with the children. Our vehicle was a local parga boat---not a large air conditioned bus, which suited us just fine. We enjoyed a... More

Based on solid TripAdvisor and CruiseCritic reviews, I contacted Go With Gus Tours in early October as I was planning private excursions for our Panama Canal cruise in late November / early December. Gus was very responsive to my emails and we were able to negotiate a reasonable rate for a customized "Enchanted Antigua" tour for 6 adults. Gus and... More

The tour started out at the ship pier along with what seemed like the entire ship. We waited for a very long time for our boat that took us out on the ocean towards the river. We first stopped at Livingston for a brief bathroom stop and to let some guests out for different tours. We then journeyed down the... More

Dear guest: We are sorry for the bad feeling.... we are not sure if you took the tour on one of the heaviest rainy day. It is thru we had to wait for the rain to subside to be able to leave the pier terminal, and when that happens everything gets delayed, including the returning to the terminal. We will... More
