First problem: I contacted Gus via his website and was instructed to wire money for a private tour for 4 people I had requested. Gus claims his website has been hacked (seems he already knew this problem with his website, yet didn't take down or repair his website).Claims he never received the money so I paid AGAIN via Shorefox, a... We were picked up at the cruise terminal and boated the beautiful 30 minute ride to Livingston. All the people we went with were on the tour to go to the school, so we parted ways, and Gus sent us on a separate boat with a driver and a guide (Abel, who was amazing to spend the day with, so... Dear Friends: Thank you so very much for such a wonderful review! This is what makes our company what it is. Abel also thanks you. He is one of our best tour guides. He showed us the pictures he took of you two, and they are really amazing. Hope to see you again in the future! More

On our first visit to Guatemala we wanted to see some local sights and get a feel for the culture. The Livingston Humanitarian Tour was perfect for us. We enjoyed seeing life on the river, and interacting with the children. Our vehicle was a local parga boat---not a large air conditioned bus, which suited us just fine. We enjoyed a... More

Based on solid TripAdvisor and CruiseCritic reviews, I contacted Go With Gus Tours in early October as I was planning private excursions for our Panama Canal cruise in late November / early December. Gus was very responsive to my emails and we were able to negotiate a reasonable rate for a customized "Enchanted Antigua" tour for 6 adults. Gus and... More

The tour started out at the ship pier along with what seemed like the entire ship. We waited for a very long time for our boat that took us out on the ocean towards the river. We first stopped at Livingston for a brief bathroom stop and to let some guests out for different tours. We then journeyed down the... More

Dear guest: We are sorry for the bad feeling.... we are not sure if you took the tour on one of the heaviest rainy day. It is thru we had to wait for the rain to subside to be able to leave the pier terminal, and when that happens everything gets delayed, including the returning to the terminal. We will... More

We arrived via Norwegian Cruise Lines on December 22, 2017 and planned ahead to take the humanitarian tour up the Rio Dulce Canyon with Gus as our personal tour guide. We were treated with great appreciation and knew in advance that we wanted to bring toys, books, teaching materials, candy and so much more for the school visit on this... More

We booked a Mayan wonder tour with Gus. We had planned to do a shorter tour but Gus called and convinced us that there was plenty of time to do the Iximche Myan Wonder tour. It was to be a much better tour. He guaranteed us that we'd be back 1-1 1/2 hours before ship leaves. Our ship was late... More

We were recently in Puerto Quetzal and one of the other passengers hired Gus himself to give us a shore excursion to Antiqua. He had lots planned for us to do. He took us to the fruit market, gave us a photo opportunity for the volcano plume and indigenous head stone, Valhalla macadamia experimental farm, Jocotenango Village Civic Center, lunch,... More

Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure being your shore excursion provider. All our tour guides, are certified by the Guatemalan Tourism Board, and after they received their certification, they have to go thru 40 hours a year to keep their skills and knowledge up to date. Dary Arevalo, has been working with us for the past 10... More
