I did the tajamulco overnight hike with 2 friends and Eduardo as our guide. He was super friendly and helpful. Great food compared to some other hikes I've done. I would highly recommend Eduardo, he's a local and been a guide for over 20 years! Amazing trip! Support the locals!

I highly recommend this company! It's a family owned business that began with Eduardo and now some of his children are guides, too! From the moment I stepped in his office, Eduardo was great! He answered all of the questions that I had and made me feel at ease about the trek. He ended up actually being our guide for... More

I did the 2-day trip to Tajumulco with Eduardo and Josue and the half day trip to Santa Maria with Eduardo and to me it was a very good experience. Eduardo is very, very friendly and experienced. His son is a nice guy too. I highly recommend them.

Really really recommend this small, family run company. We did two tours, the trekking tour from Quetzaltenango with Eduardo, and a tour of the local area with his son. Both were fantastic. There were just 4 of us on the hike, it was hard work, but amazing, we stayed in local villages. Both Eduardo and his son have so much... More

We highly recommend going with Kaqchikel Tours after our 2-day hike with Marvín as our guide. I know many people choose to take the 1 day hike, but if you can afford to go for 2 days, getting to see the sunrise is quite incredible. We look forward to our next adventure with Eduardo and his team - a 4... More

Did the one day hike together with my friend up to volcan tajumulco. Although it's a little bit expensive it's totally worth it. Eduardo is friendly and offers a good service. Our guid was his son and he did a really good job. Make sure you make the tour together with other people- prices will get cheaper!

We had an excellent experience with Kaqchikel Tours and highly suggest you stop deliberating whom to book with and go for it! We did the three day trek from Xela to Lake Atitlan with our girls ages 17, 14, and 12. Because they are smaller than some of the the other outfitters, you get more personalized service and because they... More

"Yes, you pay a little more - but that's because of my service and experience" - after receiving Eduardo's (owner) welcoming smile and a convincing talk we decided to book a 4-days hike Nebaj - to Todos Santos. Definately a highlight of our Guatemalan trip! Jaw-dropping views, remote areas to explore, and great fun & jokes along the way. Eduardo... More

Eduardo and his guides provide a fantastic service at the most reasonable rates in town. I would recommend Kaqchikel to anyone wanting to experience the amazing volcanoes around xela.

I've worked in Guatemala since 2007 and the opportunity to interact with a lot of different tour operators and guides, and Kaqchikel Tours are the best. On the recommendation of a friend, I hired Kaqchikel to provide transportation for a group of 17 Guatemalan and US high students for a week this spring. They were responsive, organized, and offered the... More
