This is the best-kept secret in Honduras. What an amazing experience. There are lots of animals to see up-close and some, like monkeys, that you can interact with - for free! Beautiful and clean beaches. Super nice staff. Only bummer was that you can only go through the short buffet line once, so fill your plate because it's a long... More

Maya Key looks fairly flat but has some hills. The path to the ruins was fairly steep and no railing to hold on to. If you like plane and/or jet spotting, the airport is near. Several planes went over the island while I was there.

We took the island excursion to Maya Key on our cruise. It was very pleasant. We just stepped off the ship and stepped across to board a ferry for a 5 minute ride aross to the island. The facility was well manicured with staff working to clean, rake. etc all day. We snorkeled in the designated area at the end... More

what a great way to spend a day with our children, ages 6 and 8 - we took a walk to see the animals, the ruins, enjoyed a lunch provided on the island, as well as swimming and snorkelling

Once again had a great and relaxing time at Maya Key. So nice to just walk down to the end of the pier from the ship for the quick 10 minute water shuttle to the little island. Place is very clean. Many...many employees constantly raking, sweeping and cleaning. Everyone was very welcoming. Great lunch included, and nice walk around the... More

Booked through our Norwegian Cruise as a ship offered excursion after looking at Little French Key as another option. We were so glad we did. It was the perfect day, the kids swam in the ocean, pool, and had the chance to snorkel with one of the "guides" on the pier. My 8 year old niece had her first ever... More

This place was great. Large enough we didn't fall over people. Had lunch at buffet, not the greatest, but was good. Lots to do, spent 4 hours, animal encounter, paddle board, $15 per person for an hour, great deal. Snokeling was good. Ruins were interesting. Really nice family day out. Recommend highly.

Took a 15 minute boat to island which is right under the flight path of relatively busy airport. We snorkeled for almost 3 hours. Lunch was very good. We walked entire island and there was a lot of animals to see. Friendly help. Nice beach. We enjoyed this low key day as other 3 excursions we took on cruise were... More

I was pleasantly surprised with our excursion to Maya Key. We were in Roatan for a dive trip. While our divers went by boat to the Key, diving on the way, we landlubbers went by bus across the island and took a short boat ride to our destination. Maya Key is a small isle close to the airport that has... More
