Zipping through the rain forest canopy at Gumbalimba was only half of our cruise- sanctioned excursion. (We also spent time at Tabayana Beach.) It was a bit of a drive from the port to the part, however the scenery was engaging so it went quickly....More

We had a great trip to the park where the staff were awesome and knowledgeable. Learned about the monkeys, iguanas, various birds, history, etc. The grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. The animals all appeared to be very well cared for and were in their own...More

We were on a cruise to Roatan and did the Gumbalimba Park as an excursion. Fairly large number of people on the tour, and they handled the logistics well. The tour is a walking tour with a local guide, see Iguana's, birds, Monkeys and a...More

We visited at the end of may while on a cruise (this was offered as a shore excursion). The bus from the port was OK, but if there are a lot of people, they put down jump seats on the bus that are rather uncomfortable...More

Start with ziplining through the beautiful jungle of Roatan with two hilarious guides (Tarzan and Curt). They even convinced my daughter and me to "Superman" and "Sider-man" on two of the lines. I can honestly say as someone who is terrified of heights, I never...More

This was interesting and included some cheesy humor from the guide at times. However, the park had lots of wild iguanas roaming around (some quite large) and the capuchin monkey area was spectacular. They are just running around, and they will jump on your shoulder....More

We were escorted to the park by a friendly local who spoke to the park officials and got us a discounted price for the zipline of $35 a person. He was helping us out and I tipped him $5. His intervention with the girls at...More

This place is worth the money! Iquanas and monkeys and birds with picturesque landscape. Our guide William was top notch, personable and full of information. The beach and pool are beautiful. Definitely worth the extra to add in the zip line. Our guides down the...More

This was a shore excursion booked through a Carnival Cruise. It's about a 40 minute drive from the Mahogany Bay cruise terminal. The Nissan buses were small but adequately air conditioned and the drive was smooth to the park. The park is all open air...More

Hi! My son and I plan on cruising on Royal Caribbean. He will be a month shy of his 10th birthday at cruise time. Our cruise ship says the age limit to zip line is 12 with no exceptions. Is this just a cruise line limitation or is it a Gumbalimba Park limitation? We really want to do this. Any advice is appreciated.

Dear Staff We are arriving in June 2017 and would like to prearrange activities such a snuba and touring the preserve. Should we book through the ship or is a local taxi just as good. It is my understanding you can ride around the park on a golf cart or similar transportation. How does that work? Can we reserve ahead of time or do we reserve the day of. If it is the day of what times do the excursions from your park begin? How much does it cost to snuba or helmet dive? If possible do you have a direct phone I could call. Barbara Ellison

I have been on many cruises and never book with the ship. A lot cheaper for the same thing, just research online and book in advance if possible.
