Gumbalimba Park was one of the highlights of our visit to Roatan. Being able to visit the monkeys and having the little white faced capuchins hopping on your shoulder was a memorable experience. We enjoyed the tour very much and learned a lot about iguanas, monkeys, anteaters, parrots and some of the flora and fauna of the island. Our tour... More

the monkeys were absolutely adorable. loved that interaction. birds galore and up close for good photos. pirates?? Denise McKenzie was a great tour guide. you need cash for locker rental. took our own photos and didn't buy any - think you need cash for that too. hope the sanctuary truly is one and not a facade for tourists. monkeys looked... We visited Gumbalimba Park while we were in Roatan in January 2017. We had an amazing day! The monkeys are free to come and go as these please which made this a more natural experience. They do feed them so obviously they stay here and love when people come to the park. They were climbing all over us and jumping... More

For us, Gumbalimba was worth the cost. We went around 11 am, after the cruise ship crowd had already passed through. We were the only ones there and basically had a private zipline tour through the canopy. The zipline team was fun and let us go upside down, do the "superman", etc. After we went on a tour of the... Did not gouge us on food prices. Well kept. Great time. Animals were free to roam. Not in cages. Handlers were friendly and knowledgeable. Zip line was a blast. Just whish they had better signs as to direction and locaton of attractions.

This is really a beautiful park. I really enjoyed the monkeys. They would jump from one person to another. They are small monkeys and do not jump at your face. They sit on the shoulder.

We visited on our honeymoon. Very cool park. Kids of all ages enjoyed the monkeys jumping all over. The are very light so don't worry. They are little theives so watch your pockets and purses. They quickly snatched a store receipt out of my wife's purse. It was dated 2014! There is a nice little beach right there but you... More

I had a great time there ! I saw a lot of animal, iguane, parrots and little white face monkey. If you're lucky, you could have on your shoulder a parrot or a little monkey for a picture. This a good place for a family day with kids !

The monkeys and parrots are fun. The handlers will let you take photos with the animals on your shoulder if you are so inclined. The iguanas are the highlight of the park as they roam freely. The cave is totally fake with plastic statues of pirates inside. It's part of the tourist experience but detracts from the animals which are... More

We had a cruise excursion here. Our guide Billy was excellent. He guided us everywhere and ensured we each had a chance to have our pictures taken with the monkeys and birds. The park is beautifully landscaped and although the day we were there was rainy, we had a great time visiting the area and exploring the grounds.
