Support your local zoo. There’s not many free zoos . This zoo and park has been here awhile now. Nice place to stop and eat lunch at a bench and feed the turtles or ducks

This was a fun free activity. They also have a dog park and plenty of places for a picnic. They also have a public pool here. I am not sure if there is a cost for the use of the pool. Family friendly activity.

This small zoo is in the park right off of five points. They have bears, deer, birds and other animals there that children can see up close. The tree canopy provides shade on a hot day. You can take a picnic and enjoy the pond...More

A nice little (free!) Zoo with a small but interesting selection of wildlife in a charming setting. The adjoining park is beautiful with a small playground, nice pavilion for picnics, lake with birds and turtles, and walking trails. Definitely worth the drive from Gwinnett!

I happened to visit during the bears' birthday celebration and was pleasantly surprised by how quaint Bear Hollow Zoo is. It's just the right size for a couple-hour visit to see the animals.

This is a great small zoo that is free and a good walking area with benches for rest breaks. We enjoy coming here when we are in Athens for a bit of exercise and fresh air.

We're glad you could drop by! Our animals are almost all non-releasable Georgia native wildlife. That means they can't survive on their own in the wild. They act as our native wildlife ambassadors so that our visitors can see up close the kinds of animals...More

I've never seen anything for sale at the zoo, but it is just a couple of blocks away from all sorts of stores and restaurants. There is a public pool next door that may sell drinks. We bring water in with us.
