Interesting rocky trails with historical information along the way thru the trail. No shade along the walk. Wear supportive shoes. I had my nearly trip ending fall at the bottom. The views are worth the walk!

Self guided tour for a one half mile hike through the partially restored remains of an ancient Hawaiian coastal settlement. Well worth the time to learn about how these early settlers of Hawaii were able to live in that area.

It is dry and austere, but beautiful. Located on the dry North Kohala coast, this park is well worth a stop on the road to Hawi. After a short walk along a lava path, one can see the remains of a coastal community which lived...More
