Park in the lot, wear sneakers or flip flops to walk the short distance across a lava field to get to the "beach" area. Bring chairs. Lots of shade. Probably not a great place for novices. The reef is very alive hear and if you...More

Previously snorkeled at Pa'ako Beach but found this little gem location. Stunning views above and below the waterline! The only reason I didn't rate it a 5 is because you need to be aware that this can be rough surf and rocky ground cover and...More

Ahihi Cove is strange highly recommended location for snorkeling. Together with La Perouse Bay there are the only two sites located in the southern part of Maui where you can have a great snorkel experience. It is unusual for Maui to have a snorkeling spot...More

This is absolutely the best snorkeling on the island. I saw more variety of fish than anywhere we had snorkels before. Beautiful

I have been coming here for many years. The abundance and variety of fish is, the best on Maui. Tip: The best entry point is down at the end of the beach. (On the opposite side from where the path from the parking lot comes...More

Everyone raves about the snorkeling at Molokini, but after finally seeing it this year, we felt that Ahihi Bay is much better in terms of the coral, quantity and different types of fish to see.
